National Level Webinar on “YOGIC SOLUTIONS TO PHYSICAL AND MENTAL PROBLEMS AMIDST COVID-19 PANDEMIC” by Mr. Sandip Solanki (Faculty- KJ Somaiya College, Mumbai). He explained the importance of Yoga, especially Chair Yoga which can be done by everyone at their homes in this lockdown period. He demonstrated various Chair Yoga aasans to the audience. Moreover, he also said that it is beneficial for people with limited mobility and for those who want to practice yoga at their workplace.

More than 300 registered participants attended the Webinar and E- Certificates were given to each registered participant after the completion of the Webinar.

The purpose of this webinar was to enhance and pursue happiness to live a positive life. The speaker of this Webinar - Prof. Vimal Vaiwala explains the importance of happiness in our lives and shared his views on the philosophy of happiness. Moreover, he also explains that Happiness in itself interacts with various dimensions of a good life. He said that he practices meditation every day and this habit of observing the quality of thoughts has empowered him to take quick and accurate decisions in his life. He also gave a few points to increase Happiness in one’s life.

“Christmas Carnival’19”

Christmas is the season of joy, holiday greetings exchanged, gift-giving, and families getting united. On this occasion, SDJ International College like every year organized Christmas Carnival – DJ party for all the students of the college. On this day, college faculties & college students visited two old age homes of the city - Shri Bhartimaiyya Charitable Trust, Old Age Home, Piplod, & Shri Modheshwari Hitvardhak Trust – Old Age Home, Hazira Road, where they celebrated Christmas with the senior citizens by cake cutting and distribution of gifts. Delicious & nutritious dinner was provided to all the residents of Old Age home after an interactive session.
