SDJIC Men’s Chess Team Secures Runner-Up Position at VNSGU University Chess Competition

The Men’s Chess Team of SDJ International College, Vesu, comprising Shorya Lakhotia, Kharwar Harsh, Nikhil Wadhwani, Khetragna Dave and Surti Abdullah, secured the Runner-Up position at the VNSGU University Chess Competition, held on 20th August 2026 at Deep Jyoti College, Bharuch.

The achievement reflects the students’ strategic skills, dedication and competitive spirit. SDJ International College congratulates the team on their commendable performance and wishes them continued success.

SDJ International College Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor

SDJ International College, Vesu, celebrated India's 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026, organized by the IQAC of SDJIC. The celebration commenced with a Flag-Hoisting Ceremony, followed by a cultural program themed “Marine Diversity of India.” Patriotic songs, poetry, speeches, and vibrant cultural performances representing India’s coastal regions highlighted patriotism, cultural diversity, and unity in diversity. Faculty members and more than 150 students attended the program.

SDJIC Box Cricket Tournament 2026 Celebrates Sportsmanship, Teamwork and Competitive Spirit

SDJ International College, Vesu, successfully organized the SDJIC Box Cricket Tournament 2026, providing students with an exciting platform to showcase their cricketing skills, teamwork and sportsmanship. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams across various streams of the college and featured a series of energetic and closely contested matches.

The tournament created a vibrant sporting atmosphere on campus, with students displaying determination, coordination and a healthy competitive spirit throughout the matches. SDJ International College, Vesu, organized a seminar on Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Diwas (Partition Horrors Remembrance Day) to commemorate the struggles, sacrifices, and resilience of those affected by India's 1947 Partition.

Mastering the Mind: An Insightful Seminar on the Art of Mind Control

SDJ International College, Vesu, organized an insightful seminar on “The Art of Mind Control” on 10th and 11th August 2026, led by Shree Subala Sundar Dasa, a renowned youth mentor and spiritual speaker associated with the ISKCON Hare Krishna Movement.

The seminar offered students valuable insights into developing focus, self-discipline, emotional balance, positive thinking, and inner peace. Through spiritual wisdom, practical guidance, and interactive discussions, students were encouraged to understand the power of the mind, manage their thoughts effectively, and cultivate a more focused and balanced approach towards their academic and personal lives.

Orientation Program for M.Com Students – Academic Year 2026–27

SDJ International College, Vesu organized an Orientation Program for M.Com students for the Academic Year 2026–27 to welcome newly admitted students and familiarize them with the college's academic environment.
